Asagao lives with her father Taira (Saburo Tokito), who is a veteran detective. Asago's mother died in the 2011 Tohoku earthquake disaster and her mother’s body was never found. One day, Asagao’s forensic medicine class unexpectedly works with the investigation section of the police department. When a dead body is found, the dead body is transferred to Asagao’s forensic medicine class. Asagao now works with her detective father.

Hammer House of Mystery and Suspense was a short-lived anthology television series from Hammer Studios. Though similar in format to the 1980 series Hammer House of Horror, the Mystery and Suspense series had feature-length episodes, usually running around 70 minutes without commercials. The series was a co-production by Hammer Studios with 20th Century Fox Television, and is known in the United States as Fox Mystery Theater. Unlike 1980's Hammer House of Horror, all the episodes had American actors as either the leads or in key roles. Draias, the self-declared ruler of the universe decided to make Earth his base. Together with his ever-loyal subjects Zol and Shura, he carries out his misdeeds through the evil scientist Jango. To stop them, Fighbird and his team follow him to Earth. Fighbird disguises himself as Prof. Amano's assistant, Yuutaro Katori, and in doing so, is in for a culture shock as he learns how to live with his human hosts. It's the good, old, cliched battle of good-versus-evil on a mainly human scale as Prof. Amano settles a lifelong grudge match against his former colleague Dr. Jango, while Fighbird squares off with Draias and his men.

MonsterVision is an American variety series that aired on TNT from March 1, 1993 to September 2000. The series was hosted by Joe Bob Briggs from 1995 to 2000, and featured classic B and cult films from the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. Penn and Teller guest-hosted MonsterVision marathons before Briggs came on board as the full-time host. Late in its run, the show changed formats, discarded "Last Call," and became Joe Bob's Hollywood Saturday Night and Monstervision.

Bus Stop is a 26-episode American drama which aired on ABC from October 1, 1961, until March 25, 1962, starring Marilyn Maxwell as Grace Sherwood, the owner of a bus station and diner in the fictitious town of Sunrise in the Colorado Rockies. The program was adapted from William Inge's play, Bus Stop, and Inge was a script consultant for the series, which followed the lives of travelers passing through the bus station and the diner. Maxwell's co-stars were Richard Anderson as District Attorney Glenn Wagner, Rhodes Reason as Sheriff Will Mayberry, Joan Freeman as waitress Elma Gahrigner, Bernard Kates as Ralph the coroner, and Buddy Ebsen as Virge Blessing.

Loki, the Norse god of mischief, has been exiled to the human world for what was apparently was a bad joke. Along with being exiled, he’s forced to take the form of a child. He’s told the only way he can get back to the world of the gods is if he can collect auras of evil that take over human hearts, and so to do this he runs a detective agency. Loki is soon joined by a human girl named Mayura who is a maniac for mysteries, and she soon helps out in her own way. However, soon other Norse gods begin to appear, and most have the intent to assassinate Loki for reasons unclear.
