The Continental was a 1952 CBS television series starring Renzo Cesana in the title role. The 15-minute program was shown on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11:15pm, at the end of the night's prime time schedule. The series used a subjective camera, as Cesana spoke directly to women in the viewing audience in a suave manner, with each episode a different romantic rendezvous, accompanied by lounge music played on an electric organ. Occasionally, he would recite the lyrics to a song. In an era when advertisers and advertising agencies played major roles in program creation and sponsorship, the show began as a syndicated 15-minute radio show created, written and produced by agency owner Cesana on Los Angeles station KHJ in February 1951. It directly followed The Lonesome Gal, a nationally syndicated radio show in which host Jean King played records and spoke in a soothing monologue to male listeners. The Continental failed to attract an audience and was soon cancelled. Cesana convinced television station KNBH to air a video version, which went on the air twice weekly beginning in June 1951. The show was picked up briefly by the CBS network, where it debuted on January 22, 1952, and pitched its last woo on April 17, 1952.

We head to the Garden State for this installment of the “Housewives” franchise, focusing on affluent Jersey girls who are more than just friends. The cast has changed through the seasons but the featured housewives through the years have included Caroline Manzo, a devoted wife and mother of three adult children; former Las Vegas cosmetologist Jacqueline Laurita, who is now a full-time housewife; and Teresa Giudice, a mother of four who runs her household without help from a nanny or personal assistant.

Mythos is a three-part documentary that consists of a series of lectures given by Joseph Campbell. Campbell conceived of the original lectures, filmed over the last six years of his life, as a summation of what he had learned about the human mythic impulse, in terms of psychology, ethnology and comparative mythology—what he called "the one great story of mankind."
Superstars on the Superstation was a televised professional wrestling show, filmed in advance at the Omni in Atlanta, Georgia, airing on TBS on February 7, 1986. It was presented by Jim Crockett Promotions. The premise behind the show was that fans could vote for the "dream matches" of their choice. Three of the bouts were dark matches, but the final four matches were televised. The event drew 10,000 fans to the Omni, while the broadcast had a Nielsen rating of 3.2. One of the televised matches ended in a disqualification when Baron Von Raschke and Krusher Khruschev interfered on behalf of Ivan and Nikita Koloff to attack the Road Warriors. Three National Wrestling Alliance titles were defended at the event. Dusty Rhodes successfully defended his NWA National Heavyweight Championship against Tully Blanchard when the match ended in a time limit draw. After the match, he argued with Blanchard's manager, J.J. Dillon, which allowed Blanchard to attack him from behind. Despite not winning the title belt officially, Blanchard took it with him as he left the ring. Ric Flair defeated Ron Garvin to retain the NWA World Heavyweight Championship when the referee did not notice that Garvin's foot was on the bottom rope, which should have invalidated the pinfall. The NWA World Tag Team Championship changed hands as Bobby Eaton of the The Midnight Express pinned Ricky Morton of The Rock 'n' Roll Express to win the title. The ending to the match was controversial, however, as Eaton's partner, Dennis Condrey, hit Morton with a tennis racket to enable Eaton to score the pinfall.

An American television news magazine and hidden camera show. Actors act out scenes of conflict or illegal activity in public settings while hidden cameras videotape the scene, and the focus is on whether or not bystanders intervene, and how. Variations are also usually included, such as changing the genders, the races or the clothing of the actors performing the scene, to see if bystanders react differently. Quiñones appears at the end to interview the bystanders about their reactions. As the experiment goes on, psychology professors, teachers, or club members watch and discuss the video with Quiñones, explaining and making inferences on the bystanders' reactions.

Dear Aunt Agnes was a children's show on TV Ontario that debuted on Tuesday, Jan 7, 1986. The show's premise was that a divorced mother called her Aunt Agnes to come and take care of her children so that she could take a job in another country. Agnes Peabody was a lovable 65-year-old eccentric who moved in with her pre-teen nephew and teenage niece. Agnes was not fond of the seemingly modern amenities of her new home. Agnes was also very fond of Elvis Presley. The show was designed for eight- to twelve-year-olds with a conscious effort to create a non-traditional family situation in which children are given the responsibility for a lot of their decisions. Cancelled after two 13-episode seasons, it aired in reruns before returning in 1989 with a new batch of episodes in which Andrew and Alex were all grown up. In this last season, the problems the kids encountered reflected issues that affect teens.
