Deputy Captain Li Wenhai is sent to Nanjiang City to investigate a drunk driving case involving a bank executive. To his shock, the evidence points directly to his own colleague, Captain Zheng Dawei. Prioritizing truth over brotherhood, Li investigates further, uncovering secret links between Zheng and a suspicious suicide at the Tianhai Group. Guided by tips from an informant named Liu Xun, Li reports incriminating evidence against the group to his superiors. However, when the evidence against Zheng and the Tianhai Group is proven false, Li realizes he has fallen into a trap.
