Kevin Hart and Nick Cannon take their famous friendly feud to the next level. It's an all-out war as one celebrity pranks another, and the payback begins. Each episode features celebrities planning and perpetrating some of the wildest and most viral pranks on each other, as hosts Nick Cannon and Kevin Hart choose one winner of the Prank War. Celebrities are always trying to up the ante as each prank is more elaborate than the next - all of them with unexpected twists, embarrassing situations and shocking reveals.

After the jolt he gets from a date gone bad with the girl of his dreams, a admired senior colleague, the drab white-collar worker Ken'ichi Tsumiki buys an appealing AI girl-droid "equipped" for sex, takes "her" as his wife, and names her Piple. But for some reason, Piple spurns his advances on their first night together. Visiting Piple's developers, Tsumiki meets the AI researcher Kaede Miyama. She tells Tsumiki that the problem is in the way he set Piple up—something that, sadly, couldn't be changed. But Miyama has an idea, and she makes a surprising suggestion.

After Japan's economic bubble burst the country slowly recovered, but dirty politicians still make deals with dirty businessmen so that they can both profit from the hard work of others. Keiichi Suzuki, head of Ōshika Construction, and Seijiro Matsuzaka, one of the members of parliament, have a deal going on that allows Ōshika Construction to use fewer materials in their projects while still letting their buildings get approved for business use. Unfortunately for them, the Government Crime Investigation Agency, the Japanese government-approved but independently-run equivalent to the FBI, is already on the move. Jotaro Zaizen, a long-thought-dead police officer, is the agent on the Ōshika case and gathers a group of people who have reasons to fight Suzuki and Matsuzaka. To help combat the GCIA, though, Suzuki hires the Haoukokuryu-kai, a yakuza group.

The Gillies Report was an Australian satirical television series that was broadcast on the ABC between 1984 and 1985. The program was notorious for sending up politicians and media personalities of the day such as Prime Minister Bob Hawke and Opposition Leader Andrew Peacock. The show starred Max Gillies, John Clarke, Wendy Harmer, Phillip Scott, Tracy Harvey, Patrick Cook, Marcus Eyre, Geoff Kelso and Peter Moon. The Gillies Report was followed by sequels The Gillies Republic and Gillies and Company. Cook, Scott and Kelso would go on to make a similar program for the ABC called The Dingo Principle.
