Chomjan is a prickle-fish vendor who sells her pickled fish using her family's secret recipe in order to support her sister, Methinee, study abroad. Her main helper is Gloy, an orphan who loves her like a sister. When Methinee returns, she brings along a boyfriend who is unaware of her true lifestyle. Ashamed of her life and poverty, Methinee asks Chomjan to lie about her occupation in order to not embarrass Methinee in front of her boyfriend and his family. A request which brings Chomjan a lot of sadness.

A long time ago, Zeus, the great god, created a three–tier hierarchy of angels, top, middle and lower, although they were supposed to be equal. Also, Zeus appointed 6 angels as Saint Beasts who govern the animals of Earth. They were: Go, the seiyu; Shin, the genbu; Rei, the suzaku; Guy, the byakko; Yuda, the kirin; and Ruka, the hooh. However, Kira, the shooting star, and Maya, the fuga, didn’t attend the selection tests and left for the Earth. The six angels fulfilled their tasks faithfully. However, because of Zeus’s increasingly tyrannical acts, they begin to mistrust him.

Oranut is a wealthy young woman who betrayed her friend Airin by kicking her out of the magazine company they started together and steals Airin’s fiance for her younger sister. Airin was so devastated after the betrayal, she vowed to bring down Oranut’s magazine company and to steal Oranut’s man if she was dating someone. Airin starts up another magazine to compete with Oranut’s and pursues Anawin, the guy that Oranut knew since college.
