It is up to the viewer to decide which stories actually happened and which were completely fabricated by the show’s writers. Rescue 911 is an informational reality-based television series that premiered on April 18, 1989 and ended on August 27, 1996. The number is now universally understood in the United States and Canada to be the number dialed for emergency assistance nationwide.

An Idiot Abroad is a British travel documentary television series broadcast on Sky1 and Science, as well as spin-off books published by Canongate Books, created by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant and starring Karl Pilkington.
