Vyacheslav Tretyakov is a superstar of modern Russian cinema. The perfect picture is spoiled only by a devastating review of his latest film from the blogger-film critic Nikita Kislyak. Tretyakov tries to force Kislyak to delete the video, but instead arranges a public fight. To restore her reputation and avoid trial, the star will have to fulfill the condition of the hated film critic — forgetting about pride and large contracts, play the main role in an unknown provincial theater.

Victor Gromov, once a legend of Moscow’s criminal underworld known under the nickname “Butcher”, has since retired and now spends his days enjoying life on his farm. One day, Victor’s former “colleagues” show up and tell him that he must store the mafia’s common fund in his offshore bank account. Victor has no choice but to help them.
