Like his brother Prithviraj Kapoor he entered the budding Hindi film industry (Bollywood) in the 1930s and was one of the most commercially successful actors of the era.[1] Born in the Kapoor Haveli in Peshawar, he moved to Calcutta and then to Mumbai. His bungalow in Union Park, Chembur, is one of the last remaining bungalows in the area, now renamed Trilok Kapoor Marg.
