Portraying a seemingly downtrodden stand-up comedian with a cynical sense of humour, Mosquito’s persona attempts to tell absurd comedic anecdotes in the setting of a typical Flemish cafe. The stories are confounding, the humour falls so flat its beguiling. But more broadly, When Changing Your Mind Gets You Killed can be seen as a meditation on the negative ways in which we perceive the altering of opinions in society today, and our capacity to offer and accept apologies.

When a man is offered a million dollars to play a game in which hunters try to kill him, he thinks he has found the perfect loophole: they can only attack when he’s alone. His only problem is that none of his friends or family believe the game is real. Forced to seek companionship in unexpected places, he navigates the bizarre challenge with humor, paranoia, and a surprising search for connection.

A racist insurance agent lives in a typical suburban neighborhood, but his bigoted world of taunting and harassing black people on and off the job is turned upside down when his skin inexplicably turns dark overnight.
