Jiahua, Jiang Nan, Ah Wen, and Ai Lun were college classmates many years ago and were close couples. Nan suffered from a speech impediment, and Jiahua, far from minding her limitations, was drawn to her innocence and affability. However, years later, Jiahua's relationship with Nan has long since fizzled out, primarily due to Nan's sudden dropout from school and subsequent lack of contact.
