Tight Spot (1955)

A novelist attends the trial of a woman accused of killing her 15-month-old daughter by abandoning her to the rising tide on a beach in northern France. But as the trial continues, her own family history, doubts, and fears about motherhood are steadily dislodged as the life story of the accused is gradually revealed.

A second trial begins in November 1975 against French left-wing revolutionary Pierre Goldman, accused of several armed robberies and the death of two chemists.

When a feared judge of the French court, Xavier Racine, encounters a French-Danish juror, Ditte Lorensen-Coteret, at a murder trial, their shared past is slowly uncovered.

A woman's past as a convict follows her everywhere and because of this she doesn't open up to others. Francesco is the last person who saw him and his fingerprints are the only ones found in the house. But is he the murderer?

A naval officer is devastated to learn about his wife's extramarital affair with a rich businessman while he was away. He pays him a visit and shoots him to death, following which he surrenders himself but claims to be "not guilty" in the court, much to the surprise of the businessman's sister and the officers dealing with his case.

When up-and-coming District Attorney Mitch Brockden commits a fatal hit-and-run, he feels compelled to throw the case against the accused criminal who was found with the body and blamed for the crime. Following the trial, Mitch's worst fears come true when he realizes that he acquitted a guilty man, and he soon finds himself on the hunt for the killer before more victims pile up.

A cop, investigating the mysterious death of a filmstar, meets a sex-worker, while he faces some personal problems psychologically. The mystery connects these people in a way, that ultimately changes their lives.

In New York City, a crime lord's right-hand man is seduced by a woman seeking retribution.
