While driving to a wedding, a Kurdish family hits a wild animal. When they get out of the car, they see the animal, still alive, at the side of the snowy road. The father, Aram, is forced to decide whether he should kill the animal or attempt to rescue it. This is not Aram’s only struggle as he navigates his place both in his new country as well as within his own family.
