The Savages (2007)

A young girl irrevocably changes the course of several lives when she accuses her older sister's lover of a crime he did not commit.

Middle-aged Jem sets out from his suburban home on a journey into the woods, where he reconnects with his estranged hermit brother Ray. When Shirley, Madea's niece, receives distressing news about her health, the only thing she wants is her family gathered around her.
