“Film made from the memories of dead people, from hours of 16mm home movies discarded by families at estate sales - and all of it in radiant Kodachrome color. Score by 2024 Grammy Award winner Carla Patullo.”
The film shows a man's passage through purgatory towards redemption. Dan Allenford (Kent) is a carefree sinner, murdered by his own faults. As Dan wanders through the bewildering landscape of purgatory, adrift as a ghostly voyeur into the lives of others, he soon begins to piece together clues about the person he once was when he meets Beatrice (Sloyan), a mysterious woman to whose heart he remains forever connected, even in death.
