Twelve years after the death of their son, Diana and Martín decide to reunite for a weekend at their old lake house. She is a specialist in Artificial Intelligence; he gave up his profession to live withdrawn from civilization. When an enigmatic young man bearing a mysterious resemblance to their deceased son appears at the house, old secrets and new suspicions come to light. In the near future, the Government aims to replace judges with Artificial Intelligence software, pledging to effectively automate and depoliticize the justice system. Carmen Costa, a distinguished judge, has been invited to assess this new procedure. However, when the software’s creator is found dead, she realizes her life is in danger and that she will have to fight the powerful interests that are at play in the highest echelons of the State.

Inspired by Chris Marker's iconic 1962 featurette La Jetée; the year is 2073—a not-so-distant dystopian future—and the setting is New San Francisco, the scorched-earth tech-dominant police state where democracy and personal freedom have been well and truly obliterated.
