A young widower attended by a masked servant and his retired movie star mother are holed up in their abandoned childhood home- joined for the holidays by an ex-girlfriend, her violently jealous new actor boyfriend and a filmmaker who appears to be half rotting bird. The burial of a severed hand in a jar sets of a strange series of events in which each person becomes haunted by ghosts from his or her past.
