After a messy affair, Anri's career as a pastry chef is cut short, and she returns to her hometown in despair. She visits her old favorite Chinese restaurant, but the owner, Koichi, is old and no longer able to cook, so his son, Goro, who has trained in Italy, fills in as a pinch hitter. When Koichi asks Anri to take over the restaurant, she tries to find a recipe for gyoza with Goro, a flavor that holds special memories for her, and the two quickly become close as they spend day and night working together in the kitchen.
