Secrets of Palace coup d'etat. Russia, 18th century. Film №5. Second Bride Emperor (2003)

The film consists of three independent parts: "Workmate", "Déjà vu" and "Operation Y". The plot follows the adventures of Shurik, the naive and nerdy Soviet student who often gets into ludicrous situations but always finds a way out very neatly.

The film tells the story of a man who has just arrived to work in one of the villages as a security guard in an old club. There he meets the employees of the club, and they take turns telling him scary stories. People tend not to believe strange stories. He contradicts everything, expressing his arguments, proofs. But he's wrong. Because everything told has its roots of truth, reality and goes deep into the past times, which can not be returned.

Fast train N34 went exactly on schedule. The passengers were quietly getting ready for bed when the empty compartment from the outstanding cigarette lit up the curtain. Soon the wagon caught fire. Disaster is imminent. Railwaymen and passengers are working together to prevent misfortune and save hundreds of people…

The film is set in the 50s in a town located on the 101st kilometer from Moscow, where in Soviet times were sent from the capital of the unreliable — political and criminal. The hero of the picture Lenka gets into the company of criminals. Local leader Kostya Konovalov offers him to participate in robberies. On the other hand, people from the police and the state security service persuade Lenka to write denunciations…

The film takes place a few years after the events shown in Bummer. Kostyan "Kot", who lost all his friends, the woman he loved and was nearly killed in the first installment of the film tries to begin a new, peaceful life. But is it possible to do? Has Russia changed and do "bratki" on black "bummers" no longer control business? Can he escape his past?

In Italy, a dying woman tells her granddaughter that she hid her treasure many years ago in Russia, in the city of Leningrad. Other people (who were around when she died) also learn about it. Thus several people arrive in Leningrad trying to find the treasure, each one for himself/herself. What's worse - the only information they have is that the treasure is under a lion - and it's in Leningrad, a city known by its numerous statues of lions. The story gets even more interesting when the soviet militia (police) learns about the whole thing and send an undercover agent...

The film is a reflection on the nature of the charm inherent in St. Petersburg, which never ceases to affect residents and visitors. The city forces those who find themselves in it to rise in their thoughts about it and about life to a philosophical level. St. Petersburg still remains mysterious, undeciphered and therefore endlessly attractive.

Having married the 11-year-old Emperor Peter II with his daughter, Menshikov immediately takes him and his sister Natalia to his palace. Fearing a bad influence on the boy from the Dolgoruky and, especially, Elizabeth, with whom Peter II was in love, the prince deprives him of communication with the royal court. But his plan is to keep Peter II in possible isolation until he comes of age.
