Pool (2007)

Sarah Rector, a Black girl born in early 20th-century Oklahoma Indian Territory, believes there is oil beneath the barren land she’s allotted, and her faith proves right. As greedy oil sharks close in, Sarah turns to family, friends, and some Texas wildcatters to maintain control of her oil-rich land, eventually becoming among the nation's first Black female millionaires—at eleven years old.

After a wild dream, Popeye, along with Bluto, Olive, Wimpy, and Swee'pea, takes to the seas to rescue his long-lost absent father for the holidays, while the dastardly Sea Hag tries to stop the rag-tag crew from breaking a mysterious and fateful prophecy.

The three soon become friends and get into various adventures together, including cleaning the floor with scrubbing shoes, dodging the "splunks", going down a waterfall in barrels, and helping Pippi with the problem of having to go to an orphanage. Older children will probably get the most out of this movie.
