Pluck the Hen (1947)

The premise of four young men out to celebrate the end of their school exams has great promise as comedy material, a promise that is far from realized in this banal, unevenly paced, run-of-the-mill attempt at a supposedly funny story.

Despite his initial protestations, he comes to like married life and even changes his cartoon character from a super spy to a somewhat harried husband.

Lured by the free beer and snacks rather than by the ideals of eco-activists, Albert and Bruno find themselves joining the movement without much conviction.
