My Golden Days (2015)

At the end of WWII, Jimmy Picard, a Native American Blackfoot who fought in France, suffers from unexplainable symptoms and is admitted to a military hospital. When doctors suspect schizophrenia, an eccentric psychoanalyst takes up the case and starts a conversation with the veteran.

They come from all over the world but they have one thing in common : The Foreign Legion, their new family. Our Men tells these stories : stories of women who struggle to keep their love fire burning; stories of men who leave for battle; stories of loving couples on hostile ground.

In a small, close-knit town, lifelong best friends Justin and Lennon (or Lena) each harbor deep secrets. As the school year begins, the arrival of a new student helps Lennon explore their identity, while Justin’s hidden feelings for their friend intensify, driving tension and conflict. Over one summer, their bonds are tested, leading to emotional and potentially destructive confrontations, as friendship, love, and self-discovery collide.

Last production staged by Patrice Chéreau, this Elektra will remain as the main and most striking lyrical event of these last years in Aix-en-Provence. This production is leaded by three amazing singers: the German soprano Evelyn Herlitzius gave a tremendous, never-to-be-forgotten account of the title role, Waltraud Meier portrays a human and chilling Clytemnestra and Adrianne Pieczonka is a fantastic Chrysothemis. Everyone's loneliness and intimate struggles are Patrice Chéreau's favorites theatrical themes. With Esa-Pekka Salonen conducting the Orchestre de Paris, this production of Elektra becomes an unforgettable experience.

They soon realize that the boot camp is harder than they’d imagined, but the experience nonetheless cements them together as the couple continues to explore their young love.
