Miles Davis: Kind of Blue (2008)

The Stooges run a pet hospital and are the proud surgeons of Garçon, a prized girl poodle of socialite Mrs. Bedford . When two men posing as reporters kidnap the poodle, the boys frantically try track them down.

The filmmaker goes to discover Meir the village where her great-grandparents were born, the place her grandparents left, but continued to love. When she goes, she discovers a village that people are trying to leave.

A man is determined to find the real culprit behind the crime for which his father was wrongly executed.

Silence dominates the work, as does the screen rectangle, which cuts off the “image” from a life time-space continuum and imposes upon the image its particular character. Within it, there is a play between tonalities, textures, large and small shapes.

During her summer holiday with her father in the Free State a random act of kindness by an attractive Indian man sparks an unexpected love affair. Despite being warned not to act on these feelings she decides to pursue this relationship. Secret meetings followed, since it was against the law at the time to have an interracial relationship. When their secret comes out, it leads to a very tragic turn of events.
