Four teenagers occupy an abandoned house, in a working-class neighborhood in the outskirts of Buenos Aires. They seek to build a shelter where they can escape from family abandonment, neighbor´s cruelty, and the constant stalking by the police. In a seemingly desolate neighborhood, with factory sounds and rusty walls, the four teenagers are constantly observed by people around them. Inhabit narrates the transitory, the impossibility of building and creating a sense of belonging in a hostile place with a marginalizing environment.

Isabel Jimenez is a teenager witnessing a horrible feud between her own family and the Fuentes family, a feud involving broken hearts, property disputes and a mysterious fire that destroyed the Fuentes house. Isabel's uncle is murdered by Jeronimo Fuentes, who later tries to stab her father. After Jeronimo dies in jail, Isabel must look outside of her family for the truth, learning from the village idiot that her father may have set fire to the Fuentes home.

Struggling to provide her daughters with a safe, happy home, Sandra decides to build one - from scratch. Using all her ingenuity to make her ambitious dream a reality, Sandra draws together a community to lend a helping hand to build her house and ultimately recover her own sense of self.
