This is a film that captures the performance of the play "Isshogai" in 2017 by "Nijiro Mocha," a theater medium produced by actor Maruwaka Kaoru. Set in Osaka and Tokyo, the play depicts two stories that transcend time and space: the protagonist Mayu's high school days, when her happy life changes completely, and the life she follows after moving to Tokyo, all on the same stage, depicting what disabilities are, and what prejudice and discrimination are.

A hotheaded youth in 1880s Meiji Japan apprentices to judo master Shōgorō Yano, trading brute jujutsu bravado for discipline and humility. As Sanshirō matures, he proves judo’s spirit against old-guard challengers—including a deadly duel—while falling for his vanquished opponent’s daughter. Based on the novel by Tsuneo Tomita, son of Tomita Tsunejirō, the earliest disciple of judo.

Because of her past, 17-year-old Rio lives her days filling the emptiness in her heart with money—until one day, she meets a university professor named Kouki and falls in love.
