Sayako was abused by her mother as a young child. She eventually moved into a foster care facility because of the abuse and has lived there ever since. She's now a senior in high school. After Sayako graduates from high school she hopes to attend a ballet school, but Sayako can't count on her parents for tuition fees. One day, Sayako turns to her father for help. However, her father betrays her trust again and this pushes Sayako over the edge. She escapes from the foster care facility and seeks out her mother and older sister. Eventually, Sayako meets an equally lost soul named Kenta. Kenta wanders through the neighborhood on a bicycle asking random people if they know him.
