Antônio Teixeira Neto, author of the book Mel e Fel, narrates his life trajectory, his setbacks and achievements. The effeminate boy who very early encountered injury, discrimination and other ills in the social world, also found the plasticity of his bodily experience to its fullest: Neto “made himself” Nadia and “remade” Neto. His trajectory, and that of some of his readers, composes a mosaic of statements of affective and sexual life in these times of ontological deconstruction and insecurity, challenging the deterministic and essentialist views of human experience.
