The feature film "Hooleta" is a painfully honest look at the mental health crisis among today's youth. Emma - a young girl caught in the eye of a domestic storm. Struggling with the fallout of a fractured family, she searches for the missing pieces of love and belonging in all the wrong places. At school pressures mount and relationships crumble, Emma's life becomes a balancing act between self-destruction and the desperate hope for a new beginning. Pansy is a woman so full of rage that every interaction she has devolves into lashing out, whether at her utterly cowed husband and son, or random strangers who have the temerity to address her.
