Anyone looking for Austrian cuisine in Dresden goes to the restaurant "Lieblich an der Elbe" in the idyllic Elbschlösschen, which Maria Lieblich has successfully established together with her friends Steffi Krieg and Carola Bleibtreu. But the bank is breathing down the necks of the ambitious restaurateurs with high loan demands. When the elegant ship owner Hermann Augartner offers them a lucrative catering job, the ladies see their big chance to get out of their business predicament. However, it soon becomes clear that Augartner has no interest in helping the ladies out financially.
