Ali is about to lose his farm through foreclosure because he cannot repay his debt. However, Ali pays the money at the last minute and saves his land. Rüstem Ağa, who has his eye on Ali's wife Ayşe, begins to plot various intrigues. He burns Ali's barn and pins the blame on someone else. Ali, overcome by anger, kills the wrong man and is sent to prison. Rüstem takes advantage of this opportunity to set a trap for Ayşe. Ayşe takes her child and flees to the mountains, where she contracts tuberculosis. After being released from prison, Ali finds them but loses his wife. Swearing revenge, Ali launches a major campaign against Rüstem.
