Morikami Shoka, an 11-year-old girl who has been in and out of hospitals since she was young due to childhood cancer, is encouraged by her doctor Wakisaka to return to school in the first semester of the sixth grade. However, when she arrives at school full of hope, she finds a disorganized class and a timid homeroom teacher who has lost confidence. Shoka, who believes in miracles, decides to make the people around her smile. Her presence brings change to the hearts of many people.
