God Is Brazilian (2003)

The film shows the day when Rui and Vani first met. It was at their wedding (with other partners). Vani was going to marry Sérgio, and Rui would marry Marta in the same church, following Vani's marriage. While waiting for the ceremony, they begin to talk. Complications ensue.

Romão, illiterate and unemployed, feels destiny drawing him on an odyssey to Rio de Janeiro in pursuit of a job and a decent life. Along the way, the story explores the inner dynamics of a family facing a great challenge with the courage to pursue dreams.

After World War II began, Vargas decided to uphold the Allies.
