

Bulan, the wife of a fisherman named Lallo, who lives by the Galesong coast with her mother-in-law, Daeng Ngiji, waiting for her husband’s return from the sea. While enduring loneliness and the burden of being a fisherman’s wife, Bulan forms a forbidden emotional connection with Aldebaran, the young son of her husband’s superior. As gossip and tension rise within the coastal community, Bulan’s inner turmoil pushes her toward rebellion against her fate.
