Haşmet, who works as a civil servant in an office, lives a middle-class life with his family. A young man who works in the accounting department of the office proposes to Haşmet's daughter Nesrin. However, Nesrin has become pregnant after entering into a relationship with a wealthy man who promised to marry her. When the man disappears, Nesrin is forced to have an abortion. She goes to a woman named Necla for this purpose. During this time, Nesrin runs away from home on the day a suitor is supposed to visit. Taking refuge with Necla, Nesrin begins having relationships with men in exchange for money. Haşmet, unable to cope with the pain of losing his daughter, is struck by a second blow.

Necla
A stagnant and gloomy village in the 1980s. Reyhan, Nurhan, and Havva, three sisters were sent to town as 'besleme' (foster child and maid). Since they fail their foster parents for different reasons, they are sent back to their father's house in their poor village. Deprived of their dreams of a better life, they try to hold on to each other.
