Samadhi Part 1 (Maya the Illusion of the Self) is the first installment in a series of films exploring Samadhi. Samadhi is an ancient Sanskrit word which points toward the mystical or transcendent union that is at the root of all spirituality and self inquiry. The saints, sages and awakened beings throughout history have all learned the wisdom of self surrender.

Two young women find themselves in a dark room where there is a distinctly strange feeling.

Sister Mary presides over a convent where a convicted murderess, who is being escorted to Death Row, is stranded by bad weather. She is slowly becoming convinced that Valerie is innocent so Sister Mary sets about to clear the girl and bring the real killer to justice.

A nearly wordless visual narrative intercuts two main stories and a couple of minor ones. A woman, perhaps the Madonna, brings forth her baby to a crowd of intrusive paparazzi; she tries to flee them. Two men who are lovers marry and are arrested by the powers that be. The men are mocked and pilloried, tarred, feathered, and beaten. Loose in this contemporary world of electrical-power transmission lines is also Jesus. The elements, particularly fire and water, content with political power, which is intolerant and murderous.

One night, Chiemi Honda and childhood friend Nobuaki Kanazawa receive an email. The sender is the King and the subject of the email is "King Game." The email states that if the recipient does not complete the king's order within 24 hours then they will be punished. Since that first email all of Chiemi's classmates receive an email from the King. At first, students think it's a joke, but perform the orders anyways. Gradually, the orders become worse. Finally, 2 classmates who do not follow the orders are punished. Then classmates start to disappear in sequence. Maria Iwamura stares at one classmate coldly. With Maria Iwamura, Chiema Honda gets closer to uncovering the identity of the King, but tragedy is about to come to Chiemi..

Baffling serial killings unfold in which the victims are tied up and left to starve. Tone was just released from prison after finishing his sentence for another crime, and he surfaces as a suspect but detective Tomashiro can't nail down conclusive proof.

The story revolves around the personal and professional lives of veteran cop Abraham Ozler, ACP Trichur, who at one time has to take up a serial killing case and the mysterious hunt begins
