Final film in the '任侠哀歌' trilogy. Kurosaki Ken (Namioka Kazuki) has now lost both parents to the machinations of the Kiryu Clan and his fire for vengeance hits its peak. However, the chairman of the Kiryu Clan, Kijima (Watanabe Hiroyuki), is revealed to have been both a close friend of Ken's father Hiroshi ... and Ken's own biological father. Kijima challenges Ken to a one-on-one duel and allow his son an honourable vengeance, but the Kiryu Clan's captain, Sagawa (Motomiya Yasukaze) interferes to protect Chairman Kijima and shoots Ken in the leg, ending the fight in a draw. Unable to move and but needing to further his plan to dismantle the Kiryu Clan, Ken beseeches his friend Daisuke (Isaka Tatsuya) to visit a certain person: Ishibashi (Sugata Shun), a detective who had been circling around the wild Sagawa. Realising their goals are aligned, Ishibashi shares a vital secret that may finally end Sagawa's rampant violence ...

A message has arrived from Kid the Phantom Thief, that he will steal a Japanese sword belonging to wealthy Onoe Family in Hakodate, Hokkaido. Conan and Heiji Hattori, who happened to be in Hakodate, are on the case to capture Kid. Coincidentally the family lawyer of Onoe is found murdered in the warehouse district, apparently slaughtered by a Japanese sword. The suspect is an investor/arms dealer who is said to be after Onoe family’s hidden treasure. In the North among cherry blossoms, the exciting hunt for treasure begins!

As police inspector Yamato Kansuke pursues a certain man in the snowy mountains of Nagano, a shadow suddenly appears in his field of vision. While he's distracted, a rifle bullet fired by someone grazes his left eye and causes an avalanche accompanied by a roar. Ten months later, Kansuke, having miraculously survived the avalanche, receives a report that a researcher at the Nobeyama National Astronomical Observatory has been attacked.
