Cantata (1963)

Yiddish live theater, a formerly lively theatrical form, is barely sustained by a few aging aficionados and its loyal but aged audience. Laura Adler is a big star of one of these troupes. She is attractive, middle-aged and quite content to spend her days performing obscure theater in her backwater town. One day, however, she learns that she is being considered for a part in a major U.S. film, and, while she is absorbing that news, she has an affair with a young man. Later, when she learns that she has terminal cancer, she decides to spend her remaining days onstage with her theatrical friends and family.

Re-enactment of the famous May 31, 1889 Johnstown, Pennsylvania flood where the dam broke and flooded out an entire town! In this version, the town is occupied by mice and dogs. But Mighty Mouse comes to the rescue after drinking a bottle of "Atomic Energy." He reverses the flood waters and puts everything back where it was. And in this cartoon, he uses magic lightning bolts coming off his hands like Merlin the Magician!

Brendan is an earnest, introverted schoolteacher who, aside from his participation in the local choir, has only one passion in his life -- the movies. High Court judge returns to the small town where he was born, bringing along his beautiful and young wife. The local men get aroused and start looking for young lovers at the local bordello. Their wives even make promises and novenas asking the disappearance of the new couple. One day, the judge dies, leaving his wife unsatisfied. The corpse, as if wanting revenge, keeps an erection on.

Two friends explore a city floating in the air, where their friendship is put to the test.

When Johan and his colleagues are watching Seth and his gang member Jack, they stumble on a larger case than they expected. Seth is selling arms to terrorists, but without Jack's knowledge, in a car where Johan's old colleague Pernilla mysterious appears. While Johan begin researching what Pernilla and SÄPO is doing, Jack suspects that everything is not right with Seth and that he's working with the police.

Two brothers, Jack and Tom, are in love with the same woman, Molly. While the two brothers go off to war and Molly does her part in the effort, Tom believes that Molly is waiting for him, while in fact, she loves Jack and only turned to Tom on the rebound. Jack and Molly meet while he is on leave, and when he returns to battle, he doesn't know how to handle the situation with Tom.

The film is a continuous time-lapse with multiple exposures of the sunset from the same angle and position on 16mm film. The shoot was done in a span of 5 years. The title 13 is because the time-lapse has a 13-second interval per frame.

One day, there was a problem while rendering the edited image. Usually, even though the video is not played back, Split frame and green flicker(R:1 G:137 B:1) occurred on the screen. This work is similar to a stuffing that sampled the errors of digital algorithms.
