A Chinese man, Yip Ching (Patrick Tse Yin) and a Malay girl Solina (Molly Wu Kar) are two young people very much in love. However, Yip Ching’s mother disapproves of this inter-racial relationship. When Yip Ching plans to visit his aunt and cousins in Hong Kong, Solina’s insecurity causes her to threaten him with a curse. Yip Ching proceeds with his trip to Hong Kong, but Solina’s curse appears to come true in a series of unfolding tragedies.

A young Japanese woman comes to Peru to marry a man she has never seen in this somber drama highlighted by cultural differences. Her husband is a first-generation Japanese and both are bound to the time-honored tradition of arranged marriages. Bringing her child from a previous marriage, she finds her new husband living with Andes Mountain Indians and working for an archaeological expedition. The man and her boy take to each other, and the woman begins to study and understand the lives of the Indians. When her husband is killed mining for Incan treasure, she uses the money sent by the state to stay and help the villagers whom she has come to love.

A year to the day after Dorothy and the people of the Emerald City defeated Urfin Jus, the villain is trying to exact his revenge. To command the army of Carraci, however, Urfin needs not only the magic book, but also Dorothy’s silver slippers. The slippers are safely hidden away in Dorothy’s house. Unfortunately, Dorothy’s guest, Tim, is overcome by curiosity and picks up the shoes, accidentally transporting himself, Dorothy and the slippers to the Land of Oz. The Emerald City and its citizens are in danger once again.
