Blondie (2013)

They are the best friends of the world. Five friends who shared everything: may 68, hippies years, the rock and their love for Bernadette. This Bernadette has left them to become a rock-star, and is back 15 years later for a weekend. Jean-Marie Poire describes with this movie the portrait of a generation with lots of humor served by excelent actors.

The premise of four young men out to celebrate the end of their school exams has great promise as comedy material, a promise that is far from realized in this banal, unevenly paced, run-of-the-mill attempt at a supposedly funny story.

Following a booking error, two families who are complete opposites, as well as a somewhat snobbish publisher and the influencer he wants to publish, are forced to share a sublime vacation home. The culture clash is immediate, between incompatible habits and strong personalities. Yet, despite the tensions and misunderstandings, this forced vacation takes an unexpected turn and turns out to be an adventure full of surprises and laughter.

Lured by the free beer and snacks rather than by the ideals of eco-activists, Albert and Bruno find themselves joining the movement without much conviction.

In this radical and endearing black comedy, a group of retrenched female factory workers decide to pool their compensation money… and hire a hit man to liquidate their boss.
