

A woman, Linda, seeks out her estranged father, Holger, an esteemed astrophysicist living alone in rural Denmark. Quickly finding that they have little to talk about, the two settle on the one subject they have in common: family. They navigate the tension that arises when two people wish to understand each other better, yet their overall difference in character leads to Linda making a consequent decision; thus, forcing Holger to reflect as to his life decisions.
