“Celebrate the 85th birthday of one of the world’s favourite film composers in an evening of big emotions.”
Winner of five Academy Awards, 22 Grammy Awards and seven BAFTAs, John Williams is among the greatest of film composers. His scores for Star Wars, Harry Potter, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial and the Indiana Jones films have made him a household name. The BBC Proms celebrates his extraordinary achievements in a concert to mark Williams's 85th birthday. Keith Lockhart – a long-time colleague of Williams at the Boston Pops Orchestra – conducts the BBC Concert Orchestra in an evening featuring excerpts from the composer's best-loved scores, as well as some lesser-known gems.

This DVD was inspired by the "Chandelier of stars" CD in which John Williamson explores his love of Outback Australia. Whilst the CD is an aural illustrations of John's music, the dimension of this DVD allows wonderful pictures to further enhance these songs. Also included is a very moving ceremony conducted prior to Australia Day 2005 entitled "Uluru Dawn" in which John and Warren Williams sing "Raining on the rock" and then John joins Trevor Adamson to sing "Waltzing Matilda", each in their own language.

Collection of the 4 classic holiday episodes, all digitally restored: 1) "A Chipmunk Christmas" (TV Short released in 1981); 2-3) "It's a Wonderful Life, Dave" (Season 6 | Episode 24 | 1988) and "Alvin's Christmas Carol" (Season 7 | Episode 13 | 1989) from the "Alvin & the Chipmunks" (TV Series 1983–1990); 4) "A Chipmunk Celebration" (TV Short released in 1994, theme for Thanksgiving Day).
