When her mother dies in an accident, 17-year-old Jessy takes responsibility for herself and her two younger sisters. One day, her father Harald, a battle-hardened ex-military soldier who once left his wife and children for combat missions, turns up at the door. Accustomed to his own style of command, he finds it difficult to accept his new role as a househusband and father of three daughters and to empathize with the girls' emotional world.
